Good Food, Good Times, Good Friends

Jessie’s visit on Friday night was the perfect start to the three-day weekend. After greeting the dogs and discussing what to do for dinner, we were delighted to discover that the delicious sushi restaurant near us wasn’t nearly as expensive as we always assumed. So out for sushi we went. We shared salmon rolls, tuna rolls, good conversation, and lots of laughs.

Jessie had spotted a carnival on her way to our house and excitedly suggested that we check it out after dinner. So to the carnival we went. We conquered the obstacle course, hesitantly ventured into the haunted mansion, played carnival games, and ate our fill of cotton candy, all the while doubling over with laughter as we cracked inappropriate “That’s What She Said” jokes and discussed the inherent creepiness of carnies.

Jessie and I, upon waking the next morning, sat cozily in our jammies, sipped fresh coffee, and watched the dogs celebrate the new day with their morning round of play time. By the time Tim woke up and joined us, it was nearly time for Jessie to head home, much as we all wanted her to stay. So back to Fort Collins she went. But not before we squeezed in a few extra minutes of chatting, dog snuggles, and, of course, lots of laughter.

I don’t think there’s anything I like quite as much as a great carnival. I’m jealous!! Did you ride the Ferris wheel?
