Creed and Dwight: Helping Everyone Survive the Writers’ Strike One Blog at a Time

Do you guys know about Creed Thoughts and Schrute-Space? Because you definitely should. Other than my Office Quotes Daily Calendar (thanks Erin!), which brings a dose of much-needed hilarity to my life every morning, these two blogs are the only things helping me cope with my strike-induced Office withdrawal.

Only at www.creedthoughts.gov.www\creedthoughts will you get Creed-isms like “I don’t follow the news, but I use newspapers for lots of other purposes so it kind of just soaks in.”

And Schrute-Space? Well, it’s everything you’d expect from a blog written by Dwight. I think this excerpt ought to assuage any doubts you may have about whether clicking on over there is worth your time: “we all laughed heartily then, except for Mose who was shunned for a week for participating in humor.”

These blogs may not be able to give us a trademark Stanley Eyeroll or a painfully uptight Angela moment, but a small Dunder Mifflin fix is better than no Dunder Mifflin at all.

I just realized…who is writing these blogs if the writers are on strike?

Love Creed Thoughts. If you have the DVD or the episode on Tivo, go back and watch the screen when it shows what he’s writing about. It is just fantastic.

Oh my gosh did you notice that in Dwight’s blog (2nd entry) he provides a link to http://www.dundermifflinpaper.biz and you can actually buy real Dunder Mifflin tshirts and other stuff on that website?!

nice use of assuage. Mr. (I think this was his name?) Whitmyer (that doesn’t sound right at all now that I type it out) would be proud. I seem to remember using flash cards to learn words for the SATs including that and garish, which means “like gary’s shorts.”

The writers strike has been both a blessing and a curse. I love the free time it has given me, but I miss my shows!!! Scrubs might not get a series finale because the actors contracts end too soon. Of course, Scrubs has been crap lately anyway, but I’d still like it to have an official ending.

I was hating the writers strike cause I missed my shows, but I have found so many good shows on non network cable. National geographic and discovery are our new favorites. And tonight we are going to watch (well at least dvr) Life after people..It’s going to be so great! I do still miss my shows, but it’s been nice not being glued to my dvr! : )
