Some GaGA Business

Is everybody ready to start getting active and AWESOME tomorrow? I know I am! I got a couple of new workout DVDs for Christmas that I can’t wait to try out. I am excited to get 2008 off to a great start!

Over the weekend I sent out an email from the MondayMinutes address to all current Get active. Get AWESOME! participants. The email included a spreadsheet for y’all to use to keep track of your activity minutes starting tomorrow morning. If you didn’t get this email, or the attachment didn’t work, or whatever, please let Anna, Deidra, or me know so we can make sure you are just as ready to track your minutes as everyone else.

As of right now, the Get active. Get AWESOME! participant list is as follows:

-R-
Aleisha
Brie
Britt
Chris
Christar
Danielle
Dave S.
Dennis
Erin
Janet
Jenn
Julie

Lindsey
Lizarita
Maggie
Maritandra
Meg
Nic
Operation Pink Herring
Rhi

And, of course, your Awesome Activity Hostesses: Anna, Deidra, and me.

Should your name be on that list? Did you sign up and we accidentally left you off? Did you mean to sign up but forgot? Let us know, and we’ll add you and get you your very own Awesome Activity Tracking Spreadsheet!

Happy New Year, everyone! Here’s to lots of activity and overuse of the word “Awesome” in ‘08!

I am looking forward to this!

Does napping count? What about sleeping? Or standing up while eating in front of the fridge? Childbirth? If any “NOs” present, then I cannot participate. Too pregnant. Too snowy. Must go nap.

Shit, Laurel’s doing this. I am so screwed. Did I mention that I put on about 3-4 pounds this holiday season. Maybe 2-3, but STILL. I am having a horribly “fat” day and I am going to start my period this week (TMI) and I feel like shit so WAAA, it’s new years eve, maybe I can drink away my sorrows. I’m sure I’ll feel so much skinnier after a few drinks. Anyway, thank goodness for this contest. I don’t even care if I win. I just need motivation to get back into the swing of things. SO there.

Wooot! I am looking forward to this, I really am. And really, am I the ONLY person that is in shock that tomororw marks 01-01-08? Yikes. Hope you and Tim and Ben have a wonderful New Years! Happy New Years Eve to you all….

Is it too late for me to sign up? I won’t win, but at least in theory everyone who plays sorta wins, right?

    Put be down for a last-minute sign-up.

I mean, I’m already pretty awesome, but I shouldn’t pass up the chance to be even more awesomer.

[...] December 31, 2007 in I’ve Been Thinking As you can probably tell I’ve been awfully lazy around these parts this weekend.  That’s because in T-minus 6 hours (for those of you in the Central Time Zone, anyway) the most awesome of all activity challenges will commence and I’ve needed to conserve my energy!  Go check out our current list of participants and get some further information HERE. I consider myself “active” the entire time I am at work…I run (on the playground, after children), lift weights (you try carrying a 65 lb. three year old), and participate in organized aerobics (dancing to the Wiggles)….does this count?

I so want to sign up … but can I wave my first two to two-and-a-half months? ;-) Maybe HollowSquirrel would like to hang out for the first couple of weeks of 2008?

    Seriously, good luck to everyone.

I feel like I should sign up…aww, what the heck… Will you add me? Because even though I broke my foot on friday, I plan to catch up with you guys next month…and I will never be at the top of the list, but the competition alone will do me good!
