Wednesday-Bensday! Special Tennis-Ball-Bone-Thing Edition

Ben has a tennis ball/bone hybrid toy that he really loves.

And by “he really loves it,” of course I mean that he really loves to pull the fuzz off and leave piles of neon green tennis ball fur all over the house. It’s fun times for everyone involved.

You’ll have to trust me that in that bottom-right picture he is working on shredding the tennis ball fuzz. One of his favorite games is to chew on a toy at the top of the stairs until he “accidentally” drops it. He’ll watch it bounce down the stairs, stare at it for a minute, then race down the stairs to get it. It’s his fun way of playing fetch with himself because he has The Most Boring Parents In The History Of The World who, naturally, completely ignore him all the time and who certainly never take him outside to play a real game of fetch. You guys would not believe how full of neglect that little white dog’s life is. Seriously, it’s hard to be Ben.

Be sure to visit Rufus and Ted and make sure they aren’t feeling as poor and neglected as Ben is!

You and Ben should check out the book “The Great Fuzz Frenzy” (see here: http://www.amazon.com/Great-Fuzz-Frenzy-Janet-Stevens/dp/0152046267/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/102-9112591-7877730?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1192636525&sr=8-1). I think you would like it. :-)

Mystic loves to pull the fuzz off those tennis ball things. Except she isn’t always good about getting the fuzz off her face as she is pulling it off. So she will walk around … being a white dog with neon green fuzz hanging from her lips. Yah, she’s a weird dog.

One of her favorite toys is one of those tennis balls shaped like a little football that SQUEAKS! Yah, that’s right, it couldn’t get any better than that for a busy lil’ white dog … a small football shaped, neon-green fuzz having, squeaky toy!!

Ted would LOVE that toy. He rips the tennis ball fuzz off of two toys he has and then he’s all confused because he tries to chew it, but – alas – fuzz does not have bite. So he just makes lip-smacking noises for a while before JG decides to relieve him of his misery and dig out the fuzz.

Stacey — My cat’s name is Mystic. Love the name. :)

Tennis balls have been banned in our house. Want to know why? Because the green fuzz seems to always disappear only to magically show up in the yard a few days later.

We bought one of those toys for Gus thinking it would be tougher for him to annihilate. He rips soft toys with squeakers to shreds in mere minutes.

Sadly, the tennis balls only lasted a a few minutes longer. There was fuzz carnage all over the place.

We pretty much stick to Kongs these days. Although he has been known to destroy those as well.

Fortunately for us? He has never chewed on anything but toys.

At least Ben gets toys! And at that only shreds them. My dogs DESTROY them.

Rufus loves to rip the fuzz off the tennis balls…then he collects all the fuzz and lines it up in a neat little row. Seriously…dogs are crazy!

Wow. A tennis ball/bone hybrid. Is that like puppy meth?

Also, I LOVE you favicon. FABULOUS, dah-ling.
