This one time, I went to a party.
Once upon a time, in the fall of my sophomore year of college, my roommate Lauren was getting ready to go to a party. She was looking for someone to go with her because, you see, the party was at the house of a guy that Lauren had a bit of a crush on at the time, and she didn’t want to show up alone to the party. For simplicity’s sake, let’s call the host of the party John. Because, well, that’s his name.
So. Lauren asked me and our other roommate, Liz, if we wanted to go with her to John’s party. Liz opted out, and I tried to as well. I just wasn’t in much of a party mood that night. I was tired and wanting to go to bed early, and I knew that going to the party with Lauren would mean not getting home until the wee hours of the morning.
However, the thing about Lauren is that she can be very persuasive. And she’s also awesome, so it was pretty much guaranteed that I’d have a good time if I went with her. So I eventually agreed to go on the condition that we would take separate cars so that we could each come home whenever we wanted.
I made myself presentable, announced to one and all that I would be home pretty early, grabbed my car keys, and followed Lauren over to John’s house for the party that would change my life forever.
To be continued…Â

Ahhhhh! I think I know what happens, too!! I just need to stick around to find out HOW it happens… because THAT I do not know!!!
Yay!
Baited breath….
I love this story. It makes me want to tell the story of how I went to the party at your house, met John, and yelled at him. Not that the endings to the story are the same, but they are both party stories. AND they do deal with all of us. Okay, so it’s a stretch. It still reminded me.
Heee… I have a feeling it’s going to be a mushy story.
OOO, I love story time!
Hmmmm, what have I stumbled upon?
Can’t wait till the next part!
